ABOUT CINDY STATHOS

“Creative, outgoing, and attentive while at the same time, quick, efficient and knowledgeable” — those six words do an excellent job of describing Highland Lakes Real Estate agent, Cindy Stathos!

Cindy is one of those rare “native Austinites” who we hear about but seldom meet in person. She has lived in Austin, Round Rock, Leander, and currently, the North Shore community of Jonestown. She knows Austin and the North Shore intimately and her clients often find homes in neighborhoods that they would miss entirely if it were not for Cindy’s exhaustive knowledge of the area.

When asked what she likes best about the area, Cindy doesn’t hesitate, The location and the people. It is a small community and everyone knows everyone. We all watch out for each other and our kiddos. It is close to the lake and everything I love about the Hill Country. We live the lake life on the North Shore and it doesn’t get much better than this!

Cindy’s background and experience uniquely position her to give her clients service that goes beyond the norm for real estate agents. In addition to holding her state license to practice real estate, Cindy holds her license for property and casualty, life, health and hmo insurance. Cindy is also the co-owner, with her husband, Michael, of MHM Remodeling. As Cindy explains it:

“Having a background in both insurance and construction is extremely helpful. I can help people understand homeowner’s insurance policies and can help point them in the right direction for the best coverage to protect one of the biggest investments they will ever make. On the construction side, I have an eye for good workmanship and may see things that my client may not.”

Each local real estate market is unique. North Lake Travis is currently a hot spot in the market. Hot spots often attract agents who may not be as familiar with the area as they should be. Cindy’s deep local knowledge and commitment give her clients a definite edge in this market.

“Communicate and Educate” would be an excellent credo for Cindy. In an industry where one of the chief complaints is that agents fail to communicate with their clients, Cindy stands out from the crowd. When asked what she does better than her competition she answers: “Communicate. I will not hesitate to tell my client if there is a problem. I keep them informed and involved in the process every step of the way.”

Real estate today is no longer a ‘hand-shake’ transaction. The paper work is intensive and involved. Cindy goes the extra mile to be certain that her clients understand each of the many documents that are necessary for the transaction. When asked how she does this, she says:

“Educate, Educate, Educate – I am a firm believer in understanding the paperwork you are signing. I will do my best to explain and answer all questions asked. If I don’t have an answer I will go out and do the research and get you an answer or refer you to the appropriate person/professional that can give you an answer.”

Cindy’s clients range from those who are looking for their first home to retiree’s who are downsizing. She enjoys both. “They both have specific needs and wants. Seeing someone purchase their first home or their last – the happiness is evident to make that step in their lives and I am honored that they chose me to take it with them.”

When not with her clients, Cindy’s husband, Michael, their daughter, Madison, and three dogs: Chris, Ruby and Marmar, have her undivided attention. What does she do when she needs to get away from it all? “I absolutely love to drive my Jeep out in the country. Outdoors is where I want and need to be. Country roads/dirt roads are the most calming and serene to me.“
